Disused Decayed Harbour Steps

Decaying stone

A monochrome photo of an inner harbour wall and disused steps to sea level. Wooden fenders are built into the wall, covering the tidal range and a handrail contours down the steps to water level. The pattern of the rough verticals and horizontals of the wood, brickwork and steps, and the texture of the decaying limestone gives the viewer a slight frisson.
